San Marcos, Texas
San Marcos is located in the Texas Hill Country halfway between San Antonio and Austin. It is the county seat of Hays County. It has a population of over 34,000 residents. It is a serene area untouched by its nearby bustling metropolitan neighbors. Thousands of visitors come to San Marcos every year to enjoy its majestic beauty. The city is also situated on the Balcones Fault. The eastern part of the city is flat while the western part consists of rolling hills. Other outdoor attractions include Aquarena Springs and Wonder World. San Marcos is home to Texas State University-San Marcos.
