Prineville, Oregon
Prineville is located in Eastern Oregon in Crook County. It is 147 miles east of Portland and 35 miles north of Bend. The population is 7,356 people. Prineville sits in the high desert mountains of the Ochoco National Forest consisting of rocky formations formed by extinct volcanos as well as lush forest vegetation. Due to the mountainous surroundings there are many outdoor activities here including skiing at nearby Mt Bachelor, hiking, fishing, boating and much more. Other nearby communities are Bend, Paulina, Powell Butte, Redmond and Post.
