Concord, MassachusettsConcord, Massachusetts is located in Merrimack Valley, approximately 20 miles northwest of Boston and in Middlesex County. The population is about 4700. Concord is rich with history and was incorporated in 1635. One of our founding cities, Concord was home to some of the greatest and best-known authors such as Henry David Thoreau, Ralph Waldo Emerson, both Louisa May Alcott and her father Bronson Alcott and more. The American Revolution's first battle of war was in Concord. Today Concord continues to encourage and develop its rich cultural heritage in the way of orchestra, a theatre group, two art centers, a museum and a center for performing arts.
