Sanibel, Florida

Sanibel is located on the southwest Florida coastline in Lee County and is co-joined with Captiva Islands. Sanibel is one of the unique barrier islands, having an east-west orientation when most islands are north south. Because of this the island has great sandy beaches and an abundance of shells. It has a population of approximately 6,000 permanent residents and over 20,000 seasonal residents. A multitude of outdoor activities await you with biking, fishing, golfing, scuba diving, canoeing and snorkeling being just a taste of all that this area offers. The Island is approximately 5,000 years old and covers over 10,700 acres along with 24 miles of shoreline.
