Antelope, CaliforniaAntelope is a community located in the northern portion of Sacramento County. Antelope had humble beginnings starting with Chinese immigrants that worked the railroad and then eventually moved out of the area and left Antelope with very little community of its own. After many years residents desired to establish Antelope as community and in 1993, they voted to be recognized as an official community, with county recognition and its own zip code. Antelope lies on hills that during the springtime are virtually covered with gorgeous California Poppies and is a shipping point for large amounts of grain going to Sacramento and the mountain areas. Its close proximity to Sacramento allows residents multitudes of employment opportunities as well as indoor and outdoor recreation.
