Gadsden, Alabama
The picturesque chapters of Etowah’s early history are scenes of the nation’s progress, and symbols of the nation’s pain, her deeds of great honor and acts of great shame; with sights of growth and sounds of change; of dying Cherokees on the Trail of Tears, of rebel yells and funeral marches, of railroad whistles and street car bells, and of the churning waters of the paddle wheelers that brought commerce and excitement to the banks of the Coosa. Today, Etowah is a thriving county of a hundred thousand hospitable people all working together to keep the “Etowah Experience” a way of life for ourselves and and our visitors. Gadsden is located in Etowah County 120 miles west of Atlanta, Georgia. It has a population of 42,523 residents and covers over 92 square kilometers of land.
